CAPSA National Week of Prayer and Action 2021
26th September – 1st October
What is CAPSA’s NWPA?
Each year, CAPSA holds a National Week of Prayer and Action (NWPA) to engage the Australian Catholic community across schools, organisations and parishes, to take action and stand in solidarity with people seeking asylum. This year the National Week of Prayer and Action will begin on 26th September, the day of World Migrant and Refugee Sunday, and run through to 1st October 2021.
#ActionForAfghanistan #AfganistanCrisis
Actions taken during this week will focus on supporting the Action for Afghanistan campaign. As we continue to watch the conflict in Afghanistan unfold, CAPSA has been astounded by the inaction of the Australian Federal Government to support the tens of thousands of refugees fleeing persecution from this region. In response to this, CAPSA, alongside campaigns such as Action for Afghanistan and Christians United for Afghanistan, has mobilized out community across Australia to call on our government to do more and take immediate #ActionForAfghanistan.
