Hundreds gather in solidarity on Migrant & Refugee Sunday
Hundreds of people around the country gathered in various locations to stand in a solidarity ‘Circle of Silence’. The event, developed by the Franciscans in 2007, is a show of support for people seeking asylum, refugees and migrants around the world who are facing injustice, and being silenced.
On August 28 – events happened in Melbourne, Sydney, Braidwood (NSW), Brisbane, Darwin and Alice Springs.
