THIRD WORLD INTEREST GROUP – HOLY SAVIOUR PARISH GLEN WAVERLEY NORTH

We had Johanna Burns out to speak to interested parishioners, have had contact with Ray Thomas of Blackburn parish and encouraged the primary school to do some awareness raising and provision of goods  on the model that Blackburn have used. Representatives attended the Social Justice Statement launch and a discussion group on the statement is running.

We also use parish publications to raise awareness.

One member has signed up with Brigidine Asylum Seekers Project to accept asylum seekers in her home.
