National Week of Prayer and Action 2024

Dear CAPSA Community,

CAPSA’s National Week of Prayer and Action 16-20 September is coming up.

Journeying together with Refugees and People Seeking Asylum’

The journey for people seeking asylum and refugees in Australia continues to be extremely challenging, disempowering and traumatic. In recent weeks, ongoing protests across the country continue to urge the Government to grant permanency to thousands of people failed by the Fast Track system.

For some, the journey involves ongoing uncertainty and years lived ‘in limbo’ without access to basic necessities and an income, all while separated from family.

For others it involves settlement and a continued commitment to advocating for the rights of others.

How do we ensure mutual respect, human dignity, justice, and access for all people to a safe place to call home?

What is our role on this journey?

We can choose to accompany refugees and people seeking asylum by being present, being compassionate, by listening and learning, by seeking justice, and by amplifying the voices of those who are less able to be heard.

Join our webinar and this important discussion with our speakers:
